My Soul is great, but just so anyone checking doesn't get mislead like I did, keep in mind the start time is faster/slower depending on the media.
The fastest I think is plain CD-R which on mine take about 13 seconds before it starts to play, then CD-RW(maybe same,not positive). Packet/DirectCD cds take longer, not sure by exactly how much.
In practice 13 seconds is not a big deal. By the time you press the button and get your headphones on your music is playing.
