An Excellent Choice for Appliances and Electronics Items

Last fall, our in-sink disposal breather it’s last. My wife liked what we had, which was a batch feed model. We were looking for a good value and to get it installed.
ABT was my initial choice, because I have had great success with them before, not only in online orders but also their showroom, first in Niles, IL, now in Glenview, IL. Initially, I found 16 units and easily made a choice of a GE 760B batch feed disposal, with ¾ HP motor. The unit was $206 with tax, with free delivery, but without installation, which I needed and was going to cost $99. That is a bargain for me. It was showing in-stock.
For competitors, I checked shopping.com to assess the competition. ABT was the lowest vendor with a presence in the Chicago area. I did not want to deal with a third party installer. Sears had a competitive unit in terms of power and capacity, but the unit cost $45 more and installation would be an additional $119.
Abt was clearly the best choice. So, I added the unit to my online shopping cart and called in to find out how to arrange for installation. The customer service person told me that, if I ordered through the site that night (Friday), I could get installation the following Tuesday. That was acceptable, so I did the online order and then called back to arrange for installation.
Abt uses it’s own employees to deliver and install within the Chicago area. I had prior good experience with them, so that was an easy decision.
They came on time and installed on time. My wife is happy and the unit works great.
The web site was well laid out and easy to follow and checkout was a breeze.
ABT has a national presence and is among the vendors that Shopping.com lists. So, you can buy from them with confidence if they show up as a loc cost vendor on a Shopping.com search. Their installation and delivery services within the Chicago area are great and so, they are an excellent choice for appliances and items that require installation, even after paying local sales tax.
I’ve also found their showroom experience to be great on items that do not need delivery or installation. They have plenty of sales and service people, and the ones I’ve encountered are knowledgeable and nice.
Bottom line: Prices are competitive with the national chains. Great delivery and installation in Chicago
