The Bottom Line Great online photo service, backed by Kodak, not likely to go out of business soon. Quality prints but I wish invitations weren't required to view albums.

After getting burned when zing.com went out of business (who knows where all of my online prints stored there went? please let me know!), I tried ofoto. I quickly learned to use and love their photo editing and upload software and uploaded about 110 pictures my first day. However, to share the albums, I had to send a specific invite to each person through the ofoto site for each album. Not as easy as it was with zing, and a pain in the neck for my friends that deleted their invitation url.
I placed an order online for my free prints, then realized that I could have done more editing (such as borders and special effects) for free on the prints, so I cancelled the order just by emailing customer service who quickly stopped the order and recredited my account. I then placed a real order with jazzed up prints and received them in about 5 days. The print quality is great. Printed on actual Kodak film paper, better than I could have done at home with my Alps dry ink process printer. My husband was impressed too.
I will try using this service more often, but probably just for the digital images I take and want to print for special storage or occasions. I still prefer film cameras to digital but there is a place in my heart for ofoto.
