The Bottom Line ------------------------------------------------------------
1)How long have you been a member of Epinions? August 11, 2000 is when I signed up. I wrote about ten reviews, then quit until the beginning of December 2000 and have written fairly regularly ever since. 2)What do you do for a living? Right now I stay at home, but do office consultation as an independent contractor. I work as a bookkeeper for two organizations, as well as general office duties. This fall I will probably have to either find regular part-time work or register with a temp agency. 3)Favorite food? Steak! Also beef stew. Yum! Coffee, of course, is also high on my list, although I am something of a coffee snob. 4)Most embarrassing moment? Only one? Probably the time I met Lee Mazzilli and I was so star-struck I couldn't even produce a coherent sentence. I'm sure there were others but I was probably too drunk to remember them. 5)What are your favorite topics to write about on Epinions? Movies, mostly, but I write in online, books, travel, or whatever else floats my boat at that particular moment. 6)Name a few things that you can't stand whatsoever The designated hitter rule the Yankees parents who complain about stuff at school but refuse to get involved people who drive under the speed limit in the left lane (when there's no traffic) traffic people who try to tell me how I should think, feel or what I should believe 7)Hobbies? counted cross-stitch puzzles baseball gardening travel 8)What kind of car do you drive? What color is it? tan Ford Windstar 9)Worst time you got into trouble when you were a kid? Only one? My parents rarely punished me. I think the one time I got caught hanging out in the creek near our house. My parents were totally paranoid of me being there since someone they knew had been flashed there once. 10)Have you ever been on TV? If so, what for? I've been caught on TV a few times at baseball games. One time when I was about 7 months pregnant with my oldest daughter, I was at Comic Relief Night in our company box which was about five rows behind the box that the Mets' owners had. Everyone saw me as huge as I was standing behind Billy Crystal, Robin Williams, and Whoopi Goldberg taking their picture. 11)What kind of music do you like to listen to? Rock. Mostly hard-rock or heavy metal, but I do run the gamut as to what's in my collection or in my CD player at any given time. The vast majority comes from the early to mid-80's. 12)What CD would your friends be surprised that you own? I don't think there's any CDs that would surprise anyone, however The Story and Songs of The Orange Bird starring Anita Bryant LP might raise a few eyebrows. 13)Shoes or sandals? neither - bare feet! 14)Where do you buy most of your clothes? Target 15)Have you ever met any famous people? If so, who? Well, there's the previously mentioned Whoopi Goldberg, Robin Williams, and Billy Crystal. I knew Tommy Mattola before he was famous for marrying Mariah Carey. I met a lot of baseball players because I used to hang out at the stadium to collect autographs and go to a lot of fan dinners as well. One time we were at Disney World and I saw Billy Joel standing around waiting for the parade to start. I didn't blow his cover. He put his finger to his lips when he saw me staring at him. 16)What are your favorite TV shows? Currently: Will and Grace, The West Wing, Survivor, Trading Spaces Classic: Star Trek, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Babylon 5, The Twilight Zone, The X-Files I also like to watch any of the shows on roller coasters and theme parks, just about anything on The Travel Channel, and any documentaries on wild weather. That's all for me. If you'd like to be a part of this write-off, check out Prelude99's profile page or http://www.epinions.com/content_3267076228 © 2003 Patti Aliventi |
