The absolute BEST!
I have been using Smugmug since August 2006. I joined as a Pro member to sell my customers their photography. I take photos for a business and I trust Smugmug to fulfill my customers needs.
My favorite part of the website is I can attach the images to my website for customers to view on-line proof albums. The website offers the widest variety of print sizes I have seen at one of the best prices on line.
Smugmug also offers additional products such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, calendars, mouse pads, buttons, coasters, aprons, tote bags, and so much more.
The customer service is so helpful and very quick to respond. I had some trouble uploading images one day so I used the e-mail part of customer service. I was shocked that I had a reply from someone within 20 minutes to help me. They were very helpful even to the technically challenged.
The site also offers more then just hosting for your images. You can also get some help from the forums on the site. There are so many people who can help with things such as site questions, critique on your images, and ideas for images to take.
The site offers different communities that you can join or just look at. You can search communities for any thing you want. I personally am apart of a children’s photography one, wedding photography, and flowers. It is a great way to get inspiration in something you enjoy taking pictures of. IT also helps to share you images for others to purchase (if you are a pro account).
Galleries are great on this site. You can separate them into categories or store all your images in one folder. Each different folder has many themes to choose from and each gallery can have several choices for viewing. I personally like when the thumb nails are on the left and the large image is on the right side.
You have controls over things like what size image can be viewed, what information can be seen, disabling the right mouse click, putting a watermark (like PROOF) over the images, adding and accepting comments, and giving descriptions to each image or gallery. This is not all that is offered but a short amount.
There are three different levels of accounts. There is a standard account, power user account, and a pro account. Below is a list of some of the differences.

Security on this site was one of the winning factors for me. You have the ability to password protect any gallery that is sensitive in nature or just not for everyone. Smugmug also makes backups of all the website in 3 states in case you need to retrieve any of your photos.
I love that this site is not bogged down with a ton of ads. If you come to this website and don't like it I would be shocked. I love it.
