When I heard about this write off, it sounded like a great way to let people get to know just a bit about me. Enjoy! 1. How long have you been a member of Epinions? I first joined Epinions January 17, 2000. I started writing a few days later. I was pretty fanatical about it for a few months and I've tapered off very much since then. I've also deleted most of my reviews that I deemed to be crap. 2. What do you do for a living? I work as a case manager for chronically mentally ill adults. My case load consists of just under 30 people. Most are diagnosed with some form of schizophrenia or major mood disorder. I help them with finances, finding jobs, gaining benefits, generally maintaining stability and avoiding hospitalization. The goal is to help each individual to be a part of the community. 3. Favorite food? Hmmmm... it used to be lobster and crab stuffed mushrooms, but I've gained a new love for things Mexican lately since finding a great mom & pop Mexican place. Yum! 4. Most embarrassing moment? I don't think I'm easily embarrassed or perhaps I simply don't engage in behaviors that do embarrass me. I can't think of anything off the top of my head. If I do, I'll come back and fill it in. 5. What are your favorite topics to write about on Epinions? I generally have written about children's books and toys. When I first started, I wrote a lot of reviews on cloth diapers and considered myself to be an expert in that area. I venture a bit into other areas, but I tend to remain in these areas for the most part. 6. Name a few things that you can’t stand whatsoever: fake people mayonnaise doing housework 7. Hobbies? I don't have much time for hobbies actually. My spare time is spent on the computer for the most part. The rest of my life is work and home. 8. What kind of car do you drive? What color is it? I drive a dark green Dodge Caravan. Really hoping to change that as soon as possible! 9. Worst time you got into trouble when you were a kid? I got into trouble a lot when I was a kid. The worst time was probably when I was like 14 and I was trying to buy a pack of cigarettes from a vending machine at the corner gas station. (They were allowed to have them back then!) The machine took my money and no cigarettes. I was trying to convince the machine to give me my smokes, utilizing my foot for encouragement. I shattered the front of the machine. Yeah, that was pretty bad. 10. Have you ever been on TV? If so, what for? I don't believe I have ever been on TV unless our local station showed the junior class play. Dunno! 11. What kind of music do you like to listen to? I generally listen to rock, some classic stuff, some new stuff. Favorite band of all time is Pink Floyd. I'm also quite into Pearl Jam, the Doors, my brother's band Six Bucks Even, and much more. 12. What CD would your friends be surprised that you own? Well, my musical taste is pretty limited and I wouldn't purchase anything too odd for me. It might surprise some that I have the soundtrack to Hair. It might surprise others that I have the Benedictine Monks. Biggest surprise would probably be my cassette of the Geto Boys since I hate rap music so much, but I got that back in 1990 or so and don't even know where it is now. 13. Shoes or sandals? Sandals, for sure! 14. Where do you buy most of your clothes? I've been doing a lot of my shopping at the outlets. Walmart and Kmart work for me too. Heck, I've even found some great stuff at the Goodwill store! 15. Have you ever met any famous people? If so, who? I met quite a few of the Philadelphia Flyers back in the day when I used to attend the Flyers' Wives Carnival. 16. What are your favorite TV shows? I don't watch much TV at all.
