Add mine, but I'm sorry that the film does not take off for you. It got some good reviews.
I once knew a man like Farmer, who built an airplane in his garage. He was much like Billy Bob Thornton. But his wife and children were frightened into silence by him and his obsession.
Virginia Madsen certainly is an asset. I wonder why she has suddenly been "discovered" of late. We could have had her presence in so many good movies in the last ten years

Yeah, I am a big Quaid-as-an-astronaut fan- he stole the show in The Right Stuff for me ("Who's the greatest pilot I've ever seen?....Well, you're lookin' at him!"). But alas, Dennis, like some of the rest of us, may be a little past space time. Even so they could have massaged the plotline for Dennis to fit. Maybe, with different direction, Billy Bob might have fit better too.

Oh, nuthin' personal against BB, Mike. He's a VERY good actor. He has had a crazy personal life though, but when you get stirred up and whirly-blendered in the starmaker machine all kinds of crazy things can happen. You know what would make a good Billy Bob Thornton movie? A biopic about William Shatner. Brad Pitt, with dark-dyed hair, could play Leonard Nimoy. Now that might be worth watching!

I appreciate the heads up on this one. I'd kinda wondered about it and thought the premise sounded like it might be OK but it doesn't sound like it worked out too well. Sounds like Quaid would have been a much better choice for the role:) ...or lots of other actors.
