It Happened South Of The Border In The Summer Of 1966!!!
by AinsleyJo | May 17 '03
I was 13 and he was 17, and we both spoke different languages. Maybe, it was only puppy love, but it felt very real to me!!!

Woo-hooooooooooo!!! I've Found Iggy!!! (Reply to this comment)
by AinsleyJo
No, it's not some sort of romantic reunion.

We speak different languages and are several thousands of miles apart and happy where we're living.

Even if all of this weren't so, he's married.

So, no romance--but it's still exciting to be in touch after nearly 40 years!

I'll be writing about this before long!!!

Ciao!

I remember--and love--them all!!!

They certainly had a lot of great songs that year!!!

As for Iggy. . .I have the feeling that I'm going to bump into him again when I'm least expecting to do so!

Glad you dropped by! As you'll soon be finding out, I've been thinking about you!!!

Hugs!

Here's some songs he might have dived to that summer:

--Oh How Happy-Shades of Blue
--Strangers in the Night-Frank Sinatra
--Sunny-Bobby Hebb
--Summer in the City-Lovin' Spoonful
--Sunshine Superman-Donovan

and many more

Enjoyable read--I hope you run into this guy again!

I absolutely *loved* reading this piece -- a real heartstring yanker! (Of course I appreciate the mention of one of my reviews too... ;-)

By the way, I also reviewed the cliff divers specifically in another review:
http://www.epinions.com/trvl-review-18B6-B4F7CD2-39E3DC0E-prod1

These guys are truly incredible and there are so many wonderful stories about them, many chronicled in the photos that line the walls of the Perla restaurant in the Mirador. The place is a little bit dated these days, but still a wonderful experience that shouldn't be missed (though I daresay most of us will not have quite the same kind of experience as you described...)

Again, Bravo!

Re: AJ YOU NEVER CEASE TO AMAZE ME OR IS THAT CONFUSE ME? (Reply to this comment)
by AinsleyJo
Doesn't confuse me one bit--but, of course, I would often think about Iggy while listening to Monkee music, imagining a time when he might be dancing with me to it!!!

Thanks for remembering to mention that I did a great job!!!

You were inspired to write this review based on a Great review by Don on "The Monkees" (one of my all-time favorite artists)? That's a strange excuse for putting this type of posting for ALL TO SEE? BTW I forgot to mention "GREAT JOB".

No Beatles in this review!!! But this means that you've not only read this one but also the one I wrote about The Beatles but have just left the comment in the wrong place!!! Oh well! I enjoy positive feedback no matter where it lands!!!
