The Bottom Line: Great little stapler, easy to use, durable, recommended!

This is a terrific little stapler, made just perfectly for home use! I have the black stapler and have used this in my home for nearly 3 years with out issue.

Features

What can really be said about a stapler. It's lightweight and easy to use.

To load the staples, you just lift the top cover and insert the staples when needed. It has a nice click to close and it's very easy to open or close. And, it stays closed.

Inserting the staples is very easy too. Once the top is open, you slide them into the chamber. Swingline staples are very easy to find. I usually purchase them at the club (Sam's Club or Costco) for a ridiculously low price.)

There is a plate, for lack of a better term, where staple your papers together and it can be switched from having the staples close towards each other or to the outside of the paper.

It's very easy to flip, just push the button on the bottom of the stapler and rotate it around.

It's very durable. Feeling the weight of it, I would not have expected it to last quite this long. But, Swingline makes a quality product and it shows in the length of time I have had this, moved it and dropped it. It only has one small dent on the top plastic cover.

It does not jam. I cannot recall a time that I ever had to pry out one stuck staple. (I wish I could say the same for one that the team uses at work!)

Cons

Really, they are hard to come by with this office tool instrument.

The rubberized bottom of the stapler, meant to keep the stapler in place on the desk while stapling papers together, is not as "sticky" as I would like it. It does hold, but if you have a group of papers and have to really force it down, it might slide on a really slippery laminate top desk.

The plastic top or cover bothered me, but it's been very durable.

It does staple through quite a few sheets of paper. But, I feel that if I am trying more than about ten sheets of paper, I will have a tough time getting the staples through. I blame that more on the weak staples than the stapler though.

Overall

This is a decent stapler for home use. It is not meant for an extremely busy use like a business office that puts together a lot of material. I don't think it would handle that pressure. But, for home office use, it is grand!

This is also a fairly inexpensive model, running just around $6.00 from what I have seen in the stores, so it won't set you back much. Mine is still going strong and I expect it will continue to do so.

~Thank you for spending time with me today!~
