Pros: detailed and fascinating account of the life of a master criminal; a journalistic coup

of _Dragonhead_ after reading teamfreak16's review the day before you posted yours. I'm glad I did.

I agree with your assessment, "...The writing style is verbose...In small doses, it can be entertaining and amusing, but over the entire course of 390 pages, proves very annoying."

I think I'm enjoying it BECAUSE I'm actually reading it in small doses!

I wonder though, just how true it all is. Sack has based the most intimate, and thus important, facts on Kon's own recollections. Hmmmm...Do I really believe he smuggled drugs ONLY because he wanted to destroy us? I tend to take his assertions with cautionary thoughts in mind, but it is fascinating to discover the mechanics of the smuggling business.

Thanks for the review. I had been wondering WHY Sack's journalistic style was bothering me. You showed me the reason.

Thanks again,
gobby
