djjjjj's Full Review: 2005 Chrysler Town & Country
We have been very pleased with our Town and Country, especially the stow feature. We use this as a passenger
vehicle around the town, to take friends and family along. BUT also stow those seats and, put in our home designed bed (the bed length runs with the length of the car and telescopes out for width when used for sleeping.) Lots of storage underneath and with the dual side doors that space is accessable from both sides! We have a great roomy camper!!! (We previously have had two Astro vans that we had made this bed for. We made great use of them but, we had a bench seat (VERY HEAVY). Removing it from passenger space to make it a camper was very difficult and vise versa with that HEAVY seat to re-install. We finally just left the bed in and that stopped its use for any passengers. With the stow n'go it is so simple to change the seats to accomadate the bed and we still have area available at the tailgate! We only had to make a minor adjustment in the bed and it was usable even better in the Stow 'n go. Removing the bed and reverting it to passenger use is so convienent. We have taken our bikes, golf clubs and all the other camping gear clothes, stove, food,etc..so it has added weight but have had mileage above 25 on hwy with it loaded. I guess you can tell we are HAPPY with it. It is a bit longer than the Asto(15" at least) and our back out of the garage was such that it was difficult getting out, so we had to remove two trees. Great fire wood. The only feature we missed was having a back-up beeper - we did have that installed, and now feel completly satisfied.
