Feelin' mighty lonesome...

The Bottom Line .........

Feelin' mighty lonesome.
Haven't slept a wink,
walk the floor from ten to four
and in between I think.

Out of nowhere this gust of wind
brushed my face and kissed my skin.
The breeze was soft - so cool and dry.
Will this wind stay wild and free or
will it simply elude me?

Turning corners looking round
for orange skies among the crowd.
Man was born for lovin' you know it's true.
It never really gets them blue.

Seems I was born to weep and shriek,
and wrap my grief upon that reef,
talk to seagulls passing by
wish to fly up to the sky.

All day, and all through the night.
Till daylight brings its morning dew,
I'll be thinking of what we had, and
how I danced so close to you.
