| bradshawcl's Full Review: All Free and Clear Liquid Detergent |
So, the last time I bought some laundry detergent, I decided to try All Free & Clear because it said on the bottle it was an allergen fighter- and if you have read any of my other allergy fighting product reviews, youll know that my husband and oldest daughter have terrible seasonal allergies, so Im a sucker for anything with the words allergen fighter on it.
The detergent comes in a white bottle, and I bought a 200 fl. oz. bottle of it for $11 something at Wal-Mart. The detergent itself has a light yellow tint to it, and it is free of perfumes and clear dyes. The bottle states that washing with this helps to remove tow of the top everyday allergens, dust mite matter and cat dander, as well as certain fragrances. But also, the bottle says this stuff is not a treatment or a way to prevent allergies.
The ingredients are cleaning agents (anionic and nonionic surfactants), buffering agent, stabilizer, and brightening agent. It does not contain any phosphorus. Please keep this out of the reach of kids, and dont get it in your eyes- but if you do, flush with water.
To use the detergent, pour it into the cap, which will have lines 1, 2, and 3 labeled on the inside. For line 1, it is used for everyday light loads, and line 2 is for medium loads, and line 3 is for heavily soiled loads. You can also pretreat stains with this, by pouring it straight on the stain and rubbing it in.
Experience:
Even though I usually like really strong scents with my detergents, I have grown sort of weary of the selection out there. This detergent really does not have a smell in the bottle, but when clothes are washed they smell clean- nothing really stout smelling, so you can use it on all laundry. With other laundry detergents such as the Tide Simple Pleasures, I found that wearing a shirt washed in that all day bothered me, so this is a nice change.
This really got my clothes clean- the ultimate test for this detergent was using it on some of my husbands work pants, which had some dried mud and a little dirt on them. I did not even pretreat them, and the dirt came right out.
Now, I have no scientific proof that this gets rid of any allergens or reduces them, since we dont have a cat, we dont have the cat dander problem, but Im sure there was some dust mite matter floating around in the laundry somewhere. Just a good feeling to know that was being taken care of when it was washed.
So, all in all, I highly recommend this, even if you dont have allergies, it really gets clothes clean, good price, and its something you can use on all of your laundry and not be overwhelmed with a scent.
