I guess it is time that I admit that I am not only an epinions.com addict but also an auction addict. I collect Coke products and have for many years now along with 100’s of Beanie Babies. I was brand new to the Internet when I first found Yahoo Auctions. I started out by just searching around on the site to see what goodies I could find. Once I saw all of the goodies I could buy there I found myself a frequent visitor to this site.
I have found over the last few years that Yahoo Auctions are very easy to use. You can search for a particular product or you can browse through the hundreds of thousands of items available. You may not know right away what you are looking for, but by the time you search through this site you will probably find something that you just can’t live without. I mostly visit the Collectibles section of Yahoo Auctions because of my Coke collection. I have found it very easy to use. The Collectibles section is divided into the kinds of collectibles you are looking for. There are sections for Beverage Related, Cereal Boxes, Characters, and Utilities along with many others. Brand or characters separate each of those sections.
What Are You Looking For
Yahoo Auctions has many different categories for you to shop in those includes: Antiques, Arts & Collectibles, Automotive, Books and Comics, Clothing, Coins, Sports & Outdoors, Trading Cards and Toys. These are just some of the categories that Yahoo Auctions offer. Each of these categories is broken down into smaller sections, which make it very easy to find what you are looking for. As you can see if they have anything from Autos to toys for you to shop through and will probably have anything your heart desires if you are willing to pay for it.
My Experiences, As A Buyer
I have purchased many different products through Yahoo Auctions and have had nothing but good luck. Each seller will have ratings if they have sold anything before on their service, honesty and if their products are what they said they were. I have always watched these ratings very closely to make sure that I only purchase items from established sellers with good ratings. Some people say that I have just been lucky, but I always check out the person before I even begin to bid on their products. I also find myself using the same seller over and over again if they are someone I have had good luck with. I have yet to get my money taken or received a bad product from any of the sellers that I deal with at Yahoo Auctions. When I first began using Yahoo Auctions all transactions were handled by mailing a money order to the person and them in turn mailing your merchandise to you. Yahoo has now set up their auction where you can you use Yahoo Pay Direct, PayPal, or an escrow account to pay for your merchandise if you want to handle it that way and the seller agrees. I really like this option, as you don’t have to mail a money order and hope that it gets there or wait as long for your merchandise as you used to. Yahoo also offers you a list of their Premium Sellers so that you can shop only with those people who have a proven track record for good sales.
My Experiences, As A Seller
I have sold lots of different things on Yahoo Auctions and once again must report that I have never had any problems. The Christmas that Furby’s were so popular I had 10 extras and sold everyone of them through this auction site. You can set your auction up to last as many days as you would like it to run and then watch the bidding begin. You can also set a buy price where if someone bids that amount the auction is over and they have won the item. As a seller I used and escrow service a few times and that worked really well for me. I tried to mail the merchandise out the day that I received the money from the buyer, which many of the sellers do. Not only will it help your ratings, but it will also make the person who bought your merchandise not have to worry if they made a good deal or not. Yahoo Auctions has added little symbols now by the item listing showing if the seller is a premium seller, it they accept Yahoo Pay Direct and even if the auction has a buy now price. All of this helps to make it very easy when you are browsing through the different categories. As a seller with many auctions going at the same time it is nice to be able to see how many of your auctions have bids on them and how much they are all at the same time. Yahoo Auctions now do charge a listing fee, which they didn’t do when I first started selling items there. The site will tell you up front how much your auction listing fee will be, you can find this by going to the help section for sellers at Yahoo Auctions.
To Sum It Up
I have had nothing but positive experiences with Yahoo Auctions both as a seller and as a buyer. I would suggest that you shop carefully and read as many comments about the seller or buyer as you can so that you will know that you are dealing with a reputable person. I enjoy my time I spend at the auctions looking for great things to add to my Coke Collection. If you are a collector or just enjoy shopping, check out Yahoo Auctions and see what you just can’t live without!
