Thanks again Pete I found it (Reply to this comment)
by JAGUARDOG
It was on their "Freeways" album on "Mercury" records and it was 5 minutes and 20 seconds long. If it was on a single ever it never made the top 100 and I cannot find it mentioned as a single in any book or on any website? It was also on the compilation album "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" on "SPM" records.

Ron, "My Wheels Won't Turn" was a 6 minute plus cut from one of BTO's later albums that I purchased but cannot recall the title. I'll have to do some research but it was also a single as my brother gave me a copy years ago. I may still have it buried among the hundreds of oldies I own. I remember the chorus went like this..."How can I get to heaven when my wheels won't turn!"...Peter

Thanks for your comments Peter and I never heard that one and if it was on a single it never made the Top 100 and it wasn't a "B" side so maybe it was on an album or released in Canada only?

Tremendous And Informative Review!!... (Reply to this comment)
by sam-pro
that captivated me while reading it! I had no idea that BTO had been turned down by so many labels.
Love the hits..."Roll Down The Highway" and "Let It Ride". Then there's that famous stutter on "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet". I wonder if anyone remembers the lost hit by BTO entitled..."My Wheels Won't Turn".
Again, JAG...GREAT REVIEW and God bless you!...Peter

Re: A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away... - COOL BEANS MARK (Reply to this comment)

Thanks for your comments and glad someone else liked their sound. Randy Bachman reminds me a little of David Clayton Thomas as they both had powerful sweet sounding pipes and could sing with the best of them.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away... (Reply to this comment)

I used to listen to a ton of BTO back when I was a teen ran amuck....always liked their stuff no matter how much it sounded like just another remake of Takin' Care of Business.
I gotta agree with you that Randy Bachman has a "distinctive voice". I think he could even turn the national anthem into a remake of Takin' Care of Business! ;-)
Nice review!

Re: BTO - RANDY WAS MY FAVORITE OF BOTH GROUPS (Reply to this comment)
by JAGUARDOG
I liked "The Guess Who" a lot more than BTO but I did enjoy 6 or so songs by BTO a lot. They were too short lived as a complete original group is why they never get much good print.

I usually don't comment on reviews of music albums I don't know, but I think I want to comment this time.
It's actually simple. Jag, I LOVE YOUR STYLE! You've just got one more reader who'll try to drop by as frequently as the time will let him. Great to know you're here!
Oh, and the Bee Gees I know, yes. Looking forward to the next lesson, Sir ;)
