At times... (Reply to this comment)
by Schlamozzel
... it feels like if I wanted to have a cold day in hel I would have to poke a hole in the ceiling just to find hell to begin with!
I literally just purchased a wood burning stove today. I'll be thinking of this review the first time I light up for the winter.
Cheers,
Schlamozzel

Hi Dede,
I will not rest until snotcicle either is officially made a dictionary word or becomes the name of a platimum record winning non-boyband band. whichever comes first.

Hi Katy,
Not that funny at the time, but it was a pretty good time, anyway.
Thanks for the comment.

"Snotcicles." HA! I learned a new word today! Another addition to my rather extensive vocabulary.
This is funny, Gary. Bet it wasn't funny at the time, though.

Re: relative tallness (Reply to this comment)
by garym
Oh man, Peru, too. Chile isnīt half as bad, but bad enough. The balcony railings, for instance, are just high enough to give me a false sense of security. If I lean, I die. Also, Iīve collapsed 3 plastic chairs and damaged others. Peru and Ecuadorŋ Forget about it.
Thanks for the comment. Reading Steinbeck in preparation for your W/O.

relative tallness (Reply to this comment)
by Stephen_Murray
I remember being in Quito while American Airlines was not delivering my luggage and discovering that I couldn't buy clothes. I'm 3 and a fraction inches shorter than you, but was taller than any Ecuadorean I saw in three weeks there.

Hi Babababara,
A tremor hit just now. Cool. Another thing for this Minnesota kid to get used to. I at least enjoy the tremors..... so far.

Re: Chile has the best observatories (Reply to this comment)
by garym
Hey OCF,
Ah, Muskies! Thats fishing.
The observatories are in the dessert a few hours north of here in the Atacama Desert. 1 or 2 of them allow visitors. No drop-ins welcome.
Thanks for the read,

Freezing ? (Reply to this comment)

Where the sun shines all the time? There seems to be no place to go for nice comfy warmth. Right now, my nose feels closer then Whitneys or Chuckies (our Labs). Loved your review - looking forward to the next.

I'll think of you when I'm living in the tropical heat of my basement apartment in our sub-zero Wisconsin winter. We finally got up to 78 degrees today and it was still nice and cool in my cave. Think of all that fridgidness as preparation for making twins. It must have done something.

You poor thang! (Reply to this comment)
by drdevience
I can relate though... there is no heat in our supposedly 'finished' basement, and we've been to lazy to add it (bought this house 4 years ago!).
Guess where the computers are?
I sit here in the winter with 2 sets of sweats, a coat, and typing thru my gloves. LOL
He BEST get heat in down here before next winter or I'm draining the savings account and heading to freakin Florida!

Chile has the best observatories (Reply to this comment)
by oldcomixfan
Gary,
Do those observatories on top of those Andean peaks allow visitors?
As someone who was only one degree of latitude away from being a Manitoban during his youth, I know where you're coming from in this read.
God, I miss the fishing action though. Forget bass, think muskie!
