I ordered a pair of duty boots (I am a police officer) from Botach on 12/27/06. When they had not arrived by the second week of January 07, I called customer "service", and was told "Oh, someone forgot to tell you, those are back ordered." I was told the order would be expedited, and it more or less was; I received the boots on or about 01/23/07, although nearly a month after I had ordered them.
I wore the boots for about three weeks, and the nylon pulled away from the leather upper, basically just fell apart. I contacted Botach Customer "service" and was told by "Diego" "Oh, no problem. I will contact the manufacturer and get a return authorization. I will both phone and e-mail you tomorrow." Tomorrow came and went; no call, no e-mail. I waited several days, with no contact from Botach. I called on three subsequent days, and left messages when no one answered the phones. None of my calls were ever returned. I sent 3 e-mails, to no avail. I attempted to e-mail their "Call Me Now" service, what a joke! No call now, no call ever!
I continued to call on an almost daily basis, until finally on 03/19/07 someone answered the phone. I was finally put back in touch with "Diego", who told me now that too much time had elapsed since I had ordered the boots. I said "but what about your 100% customer satisfaction guarantee on your website?" He said "Well, we only guarantee satisfaction for 30 days." I said "Why didn't you tell me that three weeks ago when I called you, when it was still within 30 days and it could have done some good? And why did you tell me then you would handle it and call me back?" His response? "I don't recall ever speaking to you."
I asked for his supervisor or the business owner to call me, since they were both "on the phone", and left my number yet again. No call, again, and I am stuck with a pair of worthless boots I paid $129.00 for!
