This is a fabulous product at a reasonable price. This hub/router enables you to split your DSL or Cable modem connection with up to four computers instead of paying your Cable company or DSL company for each connection you can buy this simple piece of equipment and split your one connection into four.

Setup

The setup of the router was extremely easy. After installing the necessary NIC cards and running the cables it took only about 5 minutes to setup the hub. The instructions were pretty easy to understand and therefore setup was a sinch. Included with the package was all the network wiring you need (for computers nearby) and all equipment necessary to do the job. The only trick is if you have computers on opposite sides of the office or house you have to run the networking cables to network the computers.


Features

This internet sharing device also doubles as a hub so you can share files and printers amongst the four computers if you so choose. Because the hub is assigned the IP address and the computers are assigned individual IP addresses from the hub it creates an instant firewall. Since the hub is what has the actual ip it becomes very difficult if not impossible for a hacker to access the individual computers because of the changing IP addresses. As far as speed is concerned I have not noticed any loss of speed as a result of hooking up multiple computers. I currently use cable service so I can only judge that but I would imagine that the DSL service would be comparable.

Overall

I would definitely recommend this to anybody who has more than 1 computer and wants to hook up to high-speed internet access. With its ease of connection and cost savings from having multiple connections in one house/office it practically pays for itself.
