The Smooth Brown: Long Trail Brewing's "Hit the Trail Ale"
by MiDoyle | Jun 26 '03
Long Trail’s Hit the Trail Ale lacks a bit of the grandness and the roasted nuttiness of its English forebearers but it is especially drinkable. A good quaffable brown ale.

Risa: I can attest that this one does not taste like urine and since they are a small brewer, they do little advertising. cheers

I never drink beers because to me they taste like urine. But hopefully, with your help, I may be able to find a beer someday that does not taste like urine to me or have really insipid commercials attached to it that make me want to vomit. Perhaps Hit The Trail is the one.

Sometimes, you don't think about things until you don't have them anymore. I used to drink Long Trail beers all the time when I lived in RI, but I don't think I appreciated them as much as I should have. Now that I can't get them, I miss them.

Cheers!
