Virginia,

I'm very happy you did find me!
You know I love your work, too.

Thanks,

I had found you sooner. Your writing fills me with awe. I tried to find you after Marcie's FNR, but my computer kept freezing, and I finally just gave up. That is now remedied (I hope).

Andy,

You may fool some, with your squeaky-clean language and Utah locale, but not me.

I've seen your WOT, and you are obviously evil incarnate. Not to mention being a foolish dupe of others who are, umm, evil even more incarnate...

once or twice, and it just didn't sound right coming from me. People laughed. Does that make me one of the good guys, or bad guys?

Scrumptious ramble.

Hey Hugh,

Careful with that propeller; you can put an eye out with that thing, especially while staggering drunkenly about...

Yep, you're indelibly associated with me, now, and forever tainted, as are all FNR-ers past and future...

MWAHAHAHAHA...

Hi Becky,

I was going to do a section on sex, but then I realized it's never really unpopular, no matter how sinful they say it is...

Thanks!

A tip of the ol' propellor beanie to you. Well rambled and nicely done. I've become proud to
check on the FNR's to see who some think I am now guilty of association with.

ah, alcohol... (Reply to this comment)
by beckytcy
Aaron,
I, too, was too drunk on my appointed Friday night to write the ramblings. I think that hungover ramblings are far more philosophical. Alcohol is much maligned in this society because people aren't taught how to drink responsibly because it's considered a sin. Much like sex, another fun activity that's considered sinful. Alas...

Great ramble, and I look forward to Marcy's.

Kitty -

Washed cane sugar???

What the heck is that? Where do you get it? I've never heard of it.

The recipe sounds frabjous - I'll make a gallon or two for the 4th, if you tell me what washed cane sugar is and where to get it.

My friends thank you, in advance.

Hi Marcy,

I must have been even drunker than I thought, to neglect mention of that delicately garlic-and-pepper flavored melt-in-your-mouth prime rib.

As if everyone wasn't envious enough of me already...

I think it was a bit lacking as party cement, though; I should have strayed from my hardcore carnivore ways and put down a few more carbs; more absorbent, dontcha know.

But, yeah, without it I probably would still be there on my favorite couch...

Drunk or sober, your ramble will rule.

Hi Ash,

"However it is how we interact with the people we don't respect, that shines a small light on our own true character.

I guess that would make me a gleefully cruel vivisectionist of the utterly intellectually defenseless.

Hi Patti,

I guess there is a special appeal for kids in euphemistic substitutes. Everyone knows what you mean, so it feels like you're getting away with something...

Thanks!

Hey B...

Definitely similar.

Maybe it's just bad PR, but Mint Juleps seem to me to have a certain taint of aristocracy.

Since I've always been something of a rebelliously uppity peasant at heart, I much prefer the rum.

You know Aaron,

Anyone worth anything on Eps, soon realizes that it isn't about:
- The good guys vs the bad guys
- People you trust vs people you don't
- Fluffy bunnies vs the legion of soul crushers, or
- The do gooders and helpful review writers vs the evil incarnate killers of the human spirit.

It is all about people you respect vs people you don't respect. This differentiation is necessary for our survival, in the virtual Eps world as well as the real one. However it is how we interact with the people we don't respect, that shines a small light on our own true character.

Actually, as "tweens" we used to use sugar-honey-iced-tea. Got the point across and our parents didn't get mad at us. I occasionally revert to this now in front of my own kids, especially when shit is already half out of my mouth.

Aw, dang it, Aaron! Did you hafta tell everyone the truth? Sordid and Eyore are gonna be pretty sore that you revealed their true identities. I should know. I'm the gorilla in the cage right next to 'em.

Nice rant.

"Sugar"?? Hmm, have never heard of that one being a popular substitute...

you said...
"I've heard it said that every man on the web claims to be a. . .black. . .musician with a ten inch dick."

Man, I have never heard that claim before! (Ahh, the power of the 'creative' quotation!)

Anyway, very nicely done! And the marathon continues with a very nice 'passing of the baton'...

... what a mojito is. Some sort of rum-powered mint julep? It sounds... odd.

Not in a BAD way, mind you, but odd nonetheless.

And I'm a big fan of odd.
