We have been using Soft Scrub to clean our toilet, sink, and tub for years. The reason why we choose this brand originally is because Stop and Shop often has it on sale 2 for $6 and there are always coupons for it in the Sunday paper.

The reason we choose the Soft Scrub Original Cleanser is because my nose needed a break from the new Lavender and Mountain Breeze scents. More than anything I just wanted a cleaner that did its job and then went away, scent and all.

About Soft Scrub Cleanser:
This Soft Scrub product comes in a 26ounce bottle, regularly priced $3.79. The bottle is white with a blue sticker with fun bubble letters. Get it bubble letters, cleaning in the bathroom? Oh never mind.

This product comes with a blue cap that flips open; squeeze the bottle and the cleaner squirts-out. The formula is white and thick looking similar to a paste. It smells like Calamine Lotion; you know the pink stuff you put on chickenpox and mosquito bites.

The bottle gives little evidence to what is inside it. I went to the webpage and looked under frequently asked questions, which states, “Soft Scrub Cleansers contains calcium carbonate, which is a mild abrasive. In addition, the product contains proprietary surfactants (detergent-type ingredients) that add to its overall cleaning power.”

The container is disposable in the regular trash or recyclable.

Directions:
Soft Scrub can be used for cleaning in the kitchen or bathroom. It can be used two ways: 1) Squirt it directly on the surface. 2) Squirt on sponge and then apply.

Once applied, rub in gently and rinse off. Also, you should use it sparingly on certain surfaces to avoid scratching them, such as aluminum and fiberglass. Read all warnings before use.

Places I’ve Used This Cleaner:
In the tub, inside the toiler and the seat, around the sink, stovetop, inside the microwave over, on the tub wall.

Likes:
- Multi-surface cleaner; use in kitchen and bathroom.
- Smell is not over powering; light and somewhat pleasant. Do not get headache when working with this cleaner.
- Easy to apply to rim of toilet.
- Makes toilet sparkle and shine.
- Inexpensive.
- Removes mold and mildew.
- Gets rid of soap scum in the tub and around the sink, without having to scrub.
- Cleans between tiles.
- Areas look white and clean as if they’d been bleached.
- Comes in Shatterproof bottle.
- Smell does not linger.
- Disinfects and kills germs.
- Gentle on surfaces, leaves no scratches or staining.
- Safe to use inside microwave or refrigerator.
- Makes stovetop look like new. I can almost see my reflection in it.
- No added scent.

Dislikes:
- If I get it on my hands, it really dries them out. Have to wear gloves during use.
- If I’m really on a cleaning binge, I have to put on old clothes because this stuff loves to stain them.
- Another thing it does have a tendency to stain is bathroom carpets and tiles. I usually remove both before cleaning.

Overall:
Soft Scrub Original Cleanser smells like a cleanser and works like a cleanser. It attacks soap scrum, mildew, grease, mold, etc. and disinfects and cleans leaving nothing behind, but a shiny surface. Not even the smell lingers behind. On my stovetop and in the toilet, it cleans better than any other product I’ve used.
