I was really looking forward to receiving my free phone Worldcom had notified me I would be receiving. And $29.99 a month for 250 any times minutes and 1000 night and weekend minutes sounded like a pretty good deal. About a week after I notify them to send the phone I receive my FIRST phone. I charge the phone next day I turn it on. Hmm why does the phone have the ROAM indicator on when I'm sitting in my living room. I call customer...I wait...and wait...and still wait for about 45 minutes. Then I am told that I have been sent the wrong phone for my market. They will send me a SECOND phone that will straighten things out. Another week later I recieve the second phone. I turn it on...wait the phone still has the ROAMing indicator on. I call customer service again...I wait the usual 45 minutes and am told NO WAIT you have been put in the wrong market. They proceed to change my market. Wait five days and everything should be working just fine. I wait the five days turn on my phone and what is this the ROAM indicator is STILL on. I call customer service wait my 45 minutes speak to a "tech" and am told that I was sent a TDMA phone and that I live in a CDMA market they will need to send me a THIRD phone. I wait another week receive my THIRD phone. Take it in turn it on...ROAM. I call customer service wait my 45 minutes "I wish to cancel my account there seems to be no remedy to allow me to use your service without being charged a roaming fee." They look up my account,"I'm sorry sir you have passed your 15 day return window we would have to charge you a $200 penalty." WHAT THE &*%$!!! "Look here mam
I have yet to use your service for even one minute I have been fooling around trying to get this service to work for me for over three weeks"..."Sir let me speak to my supervisor...sir I'm sorry there will be no charge for early deactivation of your account has now been cancelled"
