gatorgirlie,
I feel that 'The Blues Brothers' should have a place on your list! I'm glad Ferris made it to your runners-up list. :)

Don't ask why I'm just now seeing this one... (Reply to this comment)

In National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, the next-door neighbor is Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Clark's kids are Juliette Lewis and Johnny Galecki (Sara Gilbert's boyfriend on Roseanne, and in the probably-short-lived The Big Bang Theory currently).
But anyone who loves Mel Brooks enough to put his movies up repeatedly in a top ten list is all right in my book.

Yup--Good Choices! (Reply to this comment)

Great Choices on your list! Especially Space Balls. The line: May the Schwartz be with you has special significance! I even wrote to Mel Brooks once asking how I could get the Yogurt doll which repeats that line (he never answered).
BTW, I'm also in the Orlando area...

Nice list of movies I will need to see.
No Dumb and Dumber??
There's Something about Mary?
Those are my only favorites that are modern comedies.

Ok.. damn it.. I"m resisting the urge to start quoting Python endlessly.. it's hard. Man, there should be like, a Pythons Anonymous group or something...

Gatorgirlie-
Whenever anyone mentions Monthy Python and the Holy Grail in a review, I feel obligated to tell this stupid story I've told a million times before. So here goes.
My high school teach brought a copy of the flick so our class could watch it. I'd never seen it before (just a few parts here and there) and had heard alot about it.
So we watched it. The whole class practically cringed at every joke. The only two people that laughed we me and my buddy. And we laughed quite frequently.
To date, it remains one of the most pee-riffic movies I've ever seen. Tim and the Vorpal Bunny will always be legendary.
Good taste in comedy. I like just about every movie you highlighted here.

I never liked Montey Python much. The Holy Grail is the only one I've seen in its entirety. Great review!
