My wife and I have just purchased a Porsche 911 Turbo, and we were concerned about the safety of our newborn boy. Usually when I take my baby to his grandmother's house on weekends, I take our four door Lexus. With the Lexus, I am able to put the carseat in the backseats, where it is safer. You are never supposed to put an infant in a car seat in the passenger seat of the car, it is pretty stupid and can risk the safety of your child.

But with our new Porsche, it is very unpractical to place a car seat in the back. The small space is very hard to get in and out of with a baby, so I was at a loss at what to do. My wife found out that Porsche makes a special car seat that can lock securely into the passenger seat of some Porsches, so we purchased one from the dealership. A nifty feature of the car seat is that when it locks into place, it shuts off the passenger side airbag.

Airbags have been proven to save lives, but in the case of small children, airbags can do more harm. It is especially important to the safety of my child that he is safe at all times. I don't want the airbag to come out and suffocate him, so having the airbag shut off is a good thing in this case.

I have not had this car seat very long so I cannot say how durable it is, but it has been really good so far. It seems pretty comfortable, as it should be due to Porsche making it. My baby deserves the best, and Porsche provides me with a comfortable ride for me as well as any passenger.

The car seat has adjustable shoulder straps to secure your child in a comfortable manner so it is a perfect fit for his size. The car seat is also convertible into a baby rocker/baby carrier. It is easily removable from the car and ready for transportation.

The material the car seat is made out of is easy to clean, babies are pretty messy. Our last car seat had stains and rips all over it, but this one has some durable cloth. But no matter how good a car seat is, it always gets a little stinky and you can't do anything about it. It is a fact of life.

I totally recommend buying this infant car seat if you need one for your Porsche, it is not worth it if you have any other kind of car. It is pretty expensive and you can probably find a better one to fit your car's needs. But if you must, get the Porsche BabySafe to keep your baby safe.
