Grace,

No, I hadn't seen that. That's fantastic. Clearly, reader demand was so high that they had to go ahead and print a second, collectors' edition. Why, just look at all the positive reviews it's already gotten at Amazon!

If you could see me now, I'm rolling my eyes. Waaaay back into my skull.

N8,

At least they're getting a little smarter. This time, the bogus user put up one review of an actual book before starting off with the Losers' Club propaganda. But seeing as the "review" for TLC is identical in content to an email Ludlow sent me last week, I'm really not fooled. Are you?

This parody is hilarious. Hopefully my "very helpful" rating will again inspire the good folks at Ludlow Press to send me a nasty spam mail as part of a mass emailing. Kudos!

Sarah,

Hey, you're not secret... your admiration of Dis is open and notorious... like that of hundreds of her other epinions eminions...

"Epinons eminions" - I like that. If only I did have an Eps Army at my command, to carry out my nefarious terrorist schemes. Well, maybe someday.

Moose -

Thanks for the kind words. Forget those secret admirers, I need overt admirers, like your own good self!

Andy,

Well, you deserve it.

I can only agree. Now if only I were getting loads of cash from my fellow Epinionators...

I almost feel guilty for not hating the book. Will you still love me if I make sure to link to your expose?

But of course! I may not respect you, but I'll still love you. Just kidding. You, and everyone else who reads this book, are completely entitled to your own opinion of its merits. I've added a bit on my profile about this fiasco, and put a link to your review; as more people start posting reviews, I'll link up to them too. Regardless of what they rate it.

I almost feel guilty for not hating the book. Will you still love me if I make sure to link to your expose? Will the rest of epinions think me a fool for giving a positive review to the book? I guess we'll find out.

There's a lovely photo of the author in question at his paid-for-by-Daddy's-trust-fund company's website. I'm considering using it for the wallpaper on my desktop. If anyone has a high-quality photo printer, could you print out a lifesize pic for my bedroom ceiling?

Telynor,

Thank you, thank you, for making me laugh -- I haven't had this much fun at epinions in a long long time.

It has been fun, hasn't it? Should we send Stooplow a Hickory Farms meat basket to thank them for the busloads of mirth they've unloaded here on Eps?

This is a perfect summary, and a show of such class and riposte that it would make a fencer blush. Please, keep writing.

You're too kind. It makes me wonder if you, too, aren't secretly a lesbian-ass terrorist racist. They're hard to spot, except for their unforgivable support of scathing reviews.

Thanks for the comment!

Stooplow Press sent me their entire inventory - both books!

And, in case you're wondering, it sucks just as bad as The Losers' Club, though in a different way (and I haven't quite finished it, so I may be getting ahead of myself a bit). Haven't decided whether I'll read it, or simply spike it on a nail in my bathroom for more practical purposes.

For some reason, the word "redundant" springs to mind.

Kris-kochanski,

Must remember to adopt a fake name, write a dumb book, adopt another fake name, publish my own book, adopt another fake name and yell at people on the web for not liking my book while under the guise of being someone other than me who thinks the book is genius. While I'm at it, maybe I should adopt yet another fake name, write for the NY Times and praise my book wildly. While I'm at it, I should remember to develop multiple personality disorder. On my things to do list for today.

Well. Only if you want to be like Ricardo Praise. Then again, doesn't everybody?

Pathetic juvenile lesbian B,

While Stooplow is WORKING IT , BAYBEE to get the word out about The User's Club, that other poor nameless writer (maybe it's Ricardo Praise's mom? Perhaps she's penned a cookbook) is struggling along in respectable anonymity, with no slur-writing campaign to help generate publicity.

Funny you should mention it: I have that book, too. Yes, Stooplow Press sent me their entire inventory - both books!

and by "him" I mean that OTHER writer in Ludlow's , ERRR, I mean Stooplow's two-pony stable of literary purebreds. How sad.

Nice review, though. This sounds like the sort of book and the sort of writer that I really love to not read, again and again and again.

Prettypler, whoever you are (wink wink),

I already placed a call to Nirav Tolia and sent him a package containing copies of all the nonsense I've seen regarding the reviews and commentary posted for this book. Included in the package is a copy of the posting of Mr. Perez's address and phone number which is a violation of the Site Usage Policy.

I'm sure you have. And I certainly hope your "package" also included the abusive, hate-speech-filled, harrassment-riddled comments so liberally deposited on my Losers' Club review by kingconerman, since these are clear violations of the Site Rules.

Whatever has transpired up until this point has happened but I would suggest that you cease and desist from this point on.

Gosh, you're awfully well-informed about this issue for a brand-new member. I'm flattered that, immediately after joining, you've taken the time to educate yourself all about this Losers' Club matter. In fact, you haven't done anything else on the site at all, have you? Wonder why that is.

N8,

I'm interested in "prettyplyer," the person who rated you NH for this.

I'm interested in prettypler, too. Well, only if prettypler is a girl, of course, since I am, after all, a lesbian ass.

He/she has been a member of the site for two days and has written no reviews. Gee, I wonder who that could be?

Gosh, I have no idea. Hmmm. That's a stumper.

Tiff,

since I rated it VH I'm wondering what new little ditty "Stooplow" Press will come up with.

Stooplow is rather capricious in their email attacks. Some people drew fire for nothing more than having rated my review VH. Others have actually sent Stooplow angry emails, and received no response whatsoever.

Maybe they'll call me a b!tchy, lesbian-loving flamer or a rascist terrorist.

Only if you're really lucky.

Or maybe they'll send me a copy of the book and ask me to read it.

Only if you're really unlucky.
