Polar Beer in the U.S. (Reply to this comment)
by cookiebits
Polar beer is only sold in south Florida. My son's dad got me drinking the beer from his country, Venezuela. I really like it. Whenever I go to Miami I pick up some.

One of the worst beers ever. Chavez will have me imprisoned for this.

Not All That Great (Reply to this comment)
by Bruguru, in Restaurants & Gourmet
A friend brought me back a bottle of this stuff when he went on a cruise four or five years ago. Nice bottle as I recall, but that was about the only memorable thing about the beer.
Interesting review, as always.
Cheers!

Ice, eh? (Reply to this comment)
by davidmanning
I love how the Ice version has less alcohol than good ol' regular Polar. Isn't that the opposite of the point?
Maybe they throw some ice cubes into the bottle. Or they're just caught up in the marketing hype. The name does beg for it (as you point out).

I have to admit, it's the first thing i do when i travel as well....sad, eh?
This beer sounds pretty grim - I can't see it making it's way across here though!
