I am always aware of how a home smells, I grew up in a home with a collection of birds, monkeys, chimps, cats , dogs and the occasional pet rat (Ratzo RIzzo. Ratzo lived in the oven as a house guest and my Mom would only cook on toaster ovens while he was our tenant. When he started bringing in friends he was evicted. The birds, rats and cats weren't too bad it was the monkeys that really perfumed the house. It was awful. We would joke and call the house The Tenafly Zoo.
Of course, when I grew up and left, I went in the other direction. Although I do Wildlife Rescue I only have 2 dogs , sweet smelling dogs, very short haired, bathed regularly .I love candles, room diffusers, sprays and powders when they are nicely scented. Lysol Crisp Linen definitely is. They combined germ power with a great smell. I do not like cloyingly sweet sprays and when using a spray like Lysol if you're feeling sick you don't want anything too overpowering. Crisp Linen is just light enough.
The fact that it fights germs as well as providing a nice scent is excellent so you have the power of Lysol and a nice fragrance. I use it along with my other germ warfare on areas I house animal cages in, doorknobs, and as a general room spray and disinfectant. I also like to spray it in my car. I use my car to transport animals and kiddies so need I say more. I never liked the Lysol original scent because it was so medicinal.
Site information re germs:Some exposure to germs can help build up our immune systems, helping us to fight infections and stay healthy. Exposure to others, however, can cause food poisoning, sickness and diarrhea so it makes sense to practice the good hygiene and cleanliness that will prevent these problems.
Lysol Disinfectant Spray Crisp Linen Scent quickly gets rid of tough odors, including:

It's great for use throughout the home, wherever tough odors might linger, including kitchens, bathrooms, closets, and basements
Lysol Disinfectant Spray in Crisp Linen kills viruses, bacteria, mold and mildew and "kills 99.9% of germs in 30 seconds". So it's not just about the "looks" (scent) its doing a job here. It's for show and for go.
Registered by the Environmental Protection Agency as a disinfectant it kills many different viruses, bacteria, mold and mildew on environmental surfaces. It eliminates germs (and the odors associated with them) on hard nonporous surfaces such as doorknobs, toilets, bathrooms, telephones, garbage pails, pet areas, showers, sinks, counters, under sinks, diaper pails, and empty clothes hampers. Use it to control mold and mildew on mattresses, pillows, shower curtains, and books. The product also states to use it directly on drapes, upholstery, and curtains to eliminate odors.
Lysol states it kills 99.9% of Staphylococcus aureus (staph) and Kiebsiella pneumoniae (K. pneumoniae) on hard non-porous surfaces in 30 seconds. The spray is "tuberculocidal" and kills the following bacteria, fungi, and viruses: Bacteria and Fungi: Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA); Streptococcus pyogenes; Salmonella cholerausis; Campylobacter jejuni; Escherichia coli; Fungi: Athletes Foot Fungus, Mold and Mildew
