The Bottom Line Struggling with goodbye.
Saying Goodbye is never easy – and it truly is hard when you care for the person you are leaving. . . . That’s what this note is - a Fond Farewell to my friends and WOT at Epinions. It is not an easy decision to leave (hopefully not permanently, but at least for a time). I joined Epinions in December 1999 – nearly four years ago. Although I have only managed to crank out 50 opinions in that time, I tried to reveal a part of myself in my writings and be honest in my reviews. Over the years, I have enjoyed the different writing styles and personalities on the site – so many different gifts, and all a delight. But a time has come in my life when I just don’t have the time or energy beyond my family and job for other interests. It has been extremely difficult to read and rate nearly 200 people in my subscribe list – especially when many are writing over five reviews in a day. There shouldn’t be pressure to enjoy something, which is what it has become for me. I have been struggling with this decision for several months now... and, So, a decision was made – I have to take a break – don’t know how long, but I will try to return to read and rate (maybe once a month) those in my WOT and subscribe list . . . I will miss all the fine people I have met, especially those of you who have given me your confidence and trusted me, but even more to those who cared enough to rate and comment on my writings, many of whom are in my prayers daily. I could begin to name names, but that would not be fair to those I might overlook – you special people know who you are and I’ll miss you. Blessings – Jennifer  |
