Okay... I'm Over It

Pros:Sleek and full of great features.
Cons:Super sensitive touch controls - Doesn't work well with certain Bluetooth devices.
The Bottom Line: Recommended for those with lots of patience and who may not use Bluetooth devices as much as I do.

My husband saw the commercial for this phone before it was released. Knowing how enamored I would be, he quickly called me in to watch it the next time it aired. I was blown away! The look of it, the cool factor associated with it... It was a beautiful sight to behold! I called my local Verizon store to find out when this new wonder would be released in my area and I raced out to buy one on the very day that it hit the store even though it wasn't time for my new every two upgrade with Verizon yet. This sleek siren got a lot of looks from others and I enjoyed learning how to use it (make no mistake about it, a learning curve is definitely in effect with this phone - I don't think that it's a steep one though) and I enjoyed all of the features that it offers. However, the glamour has since worn off as I am picking up second replacement Chocolate today. This makes Chocolate number three for me! I've had several issues with them ranging from the touch screen going haywire to an ever increasing, fat gap between the top and bottom layer of the phone to them not communicating with my Bluetooth device. My calls, very frequently, get suspended somewhere in cyberspace between the phone and the Bluetooth and I find myself fighting to retrieve them before it hangs up on me or before the person to whom I am speaking hang up on me. I have the touchscreen set on its least sensitive setting and still it flies around out of control. I'll request contacts and it'll take me to VCAST. Maybe it's just me, but I don't have the patience to continue down this road. I want a nice looking, full featured phone that works properly and I want it to work properly right now. I am too busy for it not too. I am truly sorry that I ever let go of my LG VX8100. That's a great phone which is also chocked full of wonderful features. It does what you tell it, when you tell it but as luck would have it, the LG VX8100 has been discontinued through Verizon. I'm not sure what phone I'll be moving on to next but I am definitely over the Chocolate experience.
