I bought this car seat because I was thrilled with the idea of expandable handle. So, I could carry my baby over the shoulder - it is much easier then using my hand.
The seat can be used with base or without it, and this is nice when you have to change cars. But I could not attach the base securely enough in my car (Toyota Corolla), so now I use the car seat without the base. When used in Honda Accord, the base was OK.
The seat is rather easy to use even without the base, except the belt located too low and sometimes can press against the baby's legs.
There is a removable canopy. The fabric is washable and stain resistant, but I do not like, how it feels on touch.

But the worst thing is that my baby is already outgrown it! He is 4 month old and his length and weigh is perfectly average, but the shoulder straps are below his shoulder, so they can fall off, if they tighten not enough.
So, now I have to buy another seat.
