I am in the midst of a major customer service issue that I fear will not be resolved well. I ordered 4 custom natural woven wood shades from them to the tune of about $2500. The only reason I ordered from them is because they now offer guaranteed measurement and installation services. I told the guy who came out to measure that, because I am replacing some existing blinds, the new blinds from S & N need to line up exactly with the existing fabric panels. He assured me they would. When I called to place the order, the sales associate asked me if I wanted "loop control" on the shades. I said "oh, what's that?" and she said it prevents the shades from hanging crooked when they are raised and lowered. So, I said sure. It wasn't available on one window, because that window was too big. So, the shades finally came, the big window is fine but the bay window (three shades) looks ridiculous because 1) the "loop control" feature headrail sticks out two more inches from the wall than the regular cord headrail and is making my panels hang wrong, and 2) the shades hang about 3 inches away from the window! I called and explained that the sales associate never mentioned the larger headrail, which screwed up the measurements, and the associate I talked to said that wasn't a factor in the measurements, and, that because the shades are outside mounted, the sales associate didn't think it would matter, because she didn't know about the panels! So, we are trying to resolve this now, but based on what I have read here, I am not hopeful. I hope they surprise me and remake them, but they don't want to. I have escalated this to management but I am dubious. They want to send their installation guy out to mount a bracket on the wall to make the panels stick out further, but that doesn't address the fact that the blind hangs three inches away from the window!
