Amazing Grace: A Biography about Slavery
Written: Mar 30 '07
Pros:Good story, brilliant costumes and acting. Tastefully done. A pleasure to watch.
Cons:Dramatic tension is politics, not action or special effect.
This movie is about the British Empire Abolishing Slavery in 1797. Tastefully done and in some ways similar to Hercule Poriot Mysteries on PBS. It is the story of William Wilberforce a Brit Legislator and his attempts to make slavery illegal in the British Empire and his success and failures.
It is a good movie and helps put our current issues about the war on terror in perspective. Costumes, scenery and acting are great. Transforms one to the times. Well done movie.
