I ordered a magazine subscription on November 20, 2006 as a Christmas gift for my 9 year old grandson. In February 2007, when it had never arrived, I emailed and got an automated email response that I would hear back from their customer service in a few days, which never happened. A couple of weeks later I received another email stating that their customer service had been overwhelmed and they were making changes and they would allow me to choose either getting the magazine in another 4-6 weeks or getting a refund. I chose the refund, and waited two weeks but never saw the credit appear on my credit card account. I called Discover Card and filed a complaint on March 16 - they said they would call magsforless and investigate and three days later the credit appeared on my account. So in my case, complaining to the credit card company worked and it didn't matter that it had been several months - some other reviewers said their credit card companies would not investigate after several months time. But mine did and it worked! I love Discover card - they have always been great.
I have now ordered the magazine directly from the publisher and it was only about $5 more, so it doesn't pay to try and save just a few bucks if you don't know who you're dealing with.
