Hmm, I write like a director? I do like to create a scene, don't I? Hahaha. Um, you don't sound the type to want to try the Coital Alignment Theory. How disappointing! Sounds like a latent anger/insecurity issue to me or, um, Dr. Freudine. You've given me new material to work with, Jim. Thanks! Also I just said you'd introduce Doc to your cats. I learned you don't want to talk about them!

Switching Cabooses At The Bone-Train Coupling Yard (Reply to this comment)

For starters, Dr. Freudine, I think Jack and Alicia Silverstone would make an excellent sex therapy couple. Jack's a movie-man, so I think those two would keep it reel doin' the X-rated video thang. [Sorry, but that's the best I can do for now, Jack. My running into and exchanging phone numbers with celebs and high muckety-mucks is generally restricted to traffic accidents and rollerblading collisions until campaign season begins anew.]

Janny, I marvel at the sensitivity with which you've infused my character. I've been tryin' to work that "crying" thing into my sex-promotion game since my junior high school prom. Maybe we could even work in some angle by which I get it goin' under the idealistic belief that by gettin' busy as a sexual surrogate, I'm somehow revolutionizing psychosexual therapy for the benefit of all mankind.

Though I would love to adopt the persona you've herein created, the truth is, when I talk about "cats" during "romantic interlude" moments, it's generally not in reference to the domestic, flea collar-wearing, household variety. Also, it's "elections," not "erections" that give me a problem (the latter is one area in which it's safe to say I'm a "stand-up" kinda guy.)

Lastly, my philosophy about sex is even shallower than my taste in women: (And I say this in all modesty,) when I make my sexual partners scream with orgasmic pleasure, it's because I turn over my sex drive's reins entirely to my selfish, lust-fulfillment driven id. No fluffy-bunny. I've discovered that if I "strike out" while attempting to score, it's because I've attempted to hit "sacrifice flies" to advance the other base runners. Tacky baseball metaphor aside, if I get off, then you'll get off. It's that simple. Rude as it may sound, if I'm futzin' around trying to figure out what gets my sex partners off, then I'm not focusing on whatever it is that gets me off. Whether my metaphoric baseball bat flicks like a little sapling or strokes like a mighty Redwood depends on my not thinking or caring about it.

Speaking of bottom lines, the point I raise here, is that the 29th you've characterized, though a definite vote-getter, is a bit of a "chick-flick" version of me. The movies my cosciousness tends to produce and direct are much more "Francis Ford Coppola" and much less "Steven Spielberg."

I like that you appear to think more like a director than an author. Directors don't have the luxury of verbal description and analysis. Authors, the less-skilled ones, tend to rely too much on narrative, and too little on the protagonist's actions, to develop the latter's character. This is not so easy to do in the course of one scene, but that's what makes it so worthwhile when you do pull it off.

I Salute Your Art,

Jack, Jack, that's why it's so silly. 29th only wants sex therapy with me to try to turn me on! ;-)

Thanks for reading and your comment.

You think? I'm still confused about the whole thing. He doesn't appear very receptive to your therapy, you know? :-)
