The Cabin

The Bottom Line Thanks for reading and enjoy.

It is an open hand reaching through the void.
I’m frustrated with the madness; frustrated and annoyed.
And until the time should come with freely flowing limbs,
I’ll slash the world of war and hate while I wait for him.

Twice is too much; I feel like such a fool.
Waiting and wishing is all my work to do.
Wanting and wishing through the many ages,
Like the “star-crossed lovers”-- found among the pages.

Why must it come at such an inopportune time?
Why must my world be deprived of the sweetness and the lime?
And if the love is truly there, how will I ever know?
My senses have been shied with the ever-falling snow.

I’ll slash the world of war and hate.
But with what as my weapon?
I’ll wipe him clean, a fresh, new slate,
And he’ll remember such a heaven.

And if he’s not forgotten, then I shall never fall.
I’ll stop to embrace the beauty of it all.
And I’ll live within his chest, a cabin in his lungs,
Where the bee
Cannot reach me,
And I cannot be stung.
