The Phoenix This life, just a part What he exits forever in That creature made to last His life in ever sin. He whips his fiery feathers In front our worshiped face, His walls are not confined To but our point and place. And if you wait to see him, Youll count another life. Youll find that his survival Is based on death and strife. His tears-made of ivory Sallow clashes with his red A bird between the realm, Living the undead. Escaping his birth of heaven, Never will he succeed, He finishes not once His unfulfilling deed. As he busts into flame He kneels to reception His scorching act is done Effusive with deception. The altar of his end Created for demise, Reborn without a mother His lost and lonesome skies. Centuries behind him, And this is what it brings, Waiting for his death And somberly he sings. -Emma |
