RE: Arthouse knock-downs (Reply to this comment)
by truckturner
Well, admittedly I have a lot of hostility, but if you read closely you'll notice the majority of my hostility is towards folks who put arthouse films and obscure items on their lists just to be smart, even some of the top critics do it. But hey, even I enjoy the occasional arthouse item. - Ryan.

Good but.... (Reply to this comment)

Well written, interesting choices some I agree with, many I do not, but that makes it even more interesting to read.
What I don't like is how you are compelled to knock down the potential tastes and choices of other. Why the bitterness toward folks who enjoy art-house fare? You feel inferior because you can get into some of the more prestigious films?
Some prestigious films deserve their reps, some don't, some are pretentious and stink, some are good, some are pretentious and good just like a lot of low budget cult films are cheap and sleazy and good.
Anyway, mostly a good read. You worked hard on it and did a good job.
