The Bottom Line A neat way to learn more about your Epinion community!

First off I would like to thank prelude99 for allowing me to join in this w/o. To see prelude99's answers and links to other w/o participants answers please click here. ( Sure hope I did that right!)

So the point of this whole write off is to see how much you know...or think you know about me. For those of you don't know me...well...after reading this you may very well be glad you don't! Forgive me if I ramble on...it's just my nature....Anyways! Here we go!

1. How long have you been a member of Epinions?

I joined in November of 2000 so that makes it about 2 and a half years...give or take a few months...

2. What do you do for a living?

I'm an interpreter, resource gatherer, cook, medical assistant, human development researcher and entrepreneur. Translation: I take care of other people's kids in my home. ( I hurt my back so drastically at the last job I had where I was a logistics manager that I decided to stay home with my kids.)

3. Favorite food?

I don't know if I can pick just one as it seems to depend on the cycle of the moon or the tides...I'm not sure which one but it varies between ice cream and Chinese food. A good fat steak sounds good right about now too...excuse me for a minute while I go fire up the bbq.

4. Most embarrassing moment?

(Sorry...I forgot I was writing this essay and had started making a fruit salad...ahem...)

Ok embarrassing moment...Gee and there are SO many to choose from too. I'm not sure if it would be the time when I saw a girlfriend that I hadn't seen for ages and asked when she was due only to find out that she had just gained weight...or the time I forgot my beach towel on our cliff overlooking the beach and had already undressed in the cottage.

This is only embarrassing because of my irrational way of thinking that our cottage property was secluded and that no one would see me if I just dashed outside to get it, in my birthday suit. On my way back I was greeted by no less than 20 relatives sitting on lawn chairs around the house. Seems that they had showed up while I was getting undressed and sat themselves down.

5. What are your favorite topics to write about on Epinions?

I love anything that has to do with the kids section or writers corner where you can just write down your thoughts. I'd love to be able to write in auto or computers but, " It runs great " doesn't make a great review especially if someone were to question me about RAM or axle joints. My answer of, "Well it comes in black!" might just show me up for the fraud I would be.

6. Name a few things that you can’t stand whatsoever?

Hair in my food...or in the sink...kids or dogs eating toilet paper( This makes me gag!) people who cut me off...and people that won't let me cut them off...people who pass gas and don't excuse themselves...or at least warn you...but mostly I hate liars and people who are so stubborn in their way of thinking that they can't see the other person's side of things.

7. Hobbies?

Ok...get out the tissue because you're gonna laugh at me now. I love to cross stitch, collect business cards and ornaments. Ok, here it is...the kicker...I warned you to get tissue...I like to can. (And that's not half of a dance either...yes I get off on bottling food!)

8. What kind of car do you drive?

What color is it? I have two vehicles a maroon/red Corsica and a gold/bronze colored Windstar van.

9. Worst time you got into trouble when you were a kid?

Let's just say I was on a first name basis with all my principles right up until university...But if I had to think back to a time I got in trouble with my parents...

Well...lets just say I was the instigator of a lot of stuff that never has been found out to this day. I always got in trouble for not helping with dishes or cleaning my room but worked really hard at never getting caught or leaving a trail that would lead back to me. If I got caught I always took the punishment without complaint. So in hindsight, any time I got caught was the worst time.

For example...one time I had a girl over for a sleep over. Innocent right? Well, we were bragging about how much food we could hold in our mouths without swallowing. ( Get your minds out of the gutter here we were young.)Anyways I told her I could prove that she couldn't hold much...picture this... a stick from a pennant flag... a bag full of ring-a-los. (Corn chips in the shape of an o.) Anyways, I loaded this stick up with ring-a-los and by God there had to be at least 80 of them on there. I held it to her open mouth and proceeded to stuff them all down it. Not realizing that I should have stopped because I was choking her, I kept shoving these things down her throat. Well...I did get in a lot of trouble for that but my parents did have a hard time trying to be stern and I did get the lecture on how I could have killed her...

Actually looking back I may have gotten in more trouble for the time I told a kid who was hanging upside down on the monkey bars to lick them that winter day. ( I left her there when the recess bell rang and she hung outside for about 15 minutes before I told them what happened.)

Really...I am a nice person....

10. Have you ever been on TV? If so, what for?

Yes. I was on for a crime prevention conference...ironic huh? Also for a train accident...I was on the train...mere coincidence...Also for sports, public speaking competitions and 4-H related incidents. We were also interviewed once at the Calgary Stampede. Oh and for a community play I was in. Anything else would have been me in the background.

11. What kind of music do you like to listen to?

I listen to just about anything. I like top 40, rock, country(new)and yes...even the 80's!

12. What CD would your friends be surprised that you own?

Hope you still have that tissue...The Sound of Music soundtrack. How can you NOT want to hear songs like Favorite things? Ok...maybe I should write a review on that after I finish this!

13. Shoes or sandals?

Ok...seeing that bare feet is not an option I would say sandals...unless it's raining or snowing...but that just makes sense...doesn't it?

14. Where do you buy most of your clothes?

Anywhere there is a sale...It doesn't matter if it's Zellers or the Gap. If it's a sale I'm there. Heck if it just has red tags for full price I'm there! There is only one place I refuse to shop and that is Walmart.

15. Have you ever met any famous people? If so, who?

Yes. I have pictures of me and Jason Priestly and Alan Thick. I also have pictures of Christopher Reeves, Kris Kristopherson. Kenny Logins, among some others.

When I was with my ex, he owned a catering company for movie production and worked on movies like Legends of the Fall (Brad Pitt...Sir Anthony Hopkins), How the West was fun(Olsen twins),and One More Mountain(Meridith Baxter).

16. What are your favorite TV shows?

Ok, I love anything reality based, like Amazing race, Survivor and the Mole. Outside of that I sometimes watch Passions for a giggle. I NEVER miss Queer as Folk on Monday nights. That is without a doubt one of the best shows out there. I also like Trailer Park Boys. Now THAT show is funny!

Well There it is!

My first 16 answers to the first 16 questions. I'm off to do the second W/O and once again, I encourage you to check out the other participants who wrote in this Write off.

Just think, you'll learn a bit more about the Epinion community that is around you. Just be prepared for the stuff you wish you never knew! Have a good one and I hope you enjoyed learning more about me!
