One of the girls at work always heats them up with the microwave. I personally like them at room temp. When I take them to work I just put the bowl full on the table in our break area. The girls grab a few every time they walk by. So that would work fine for you....make them tonight and put 'em in the fridge....then just leave them out tomorrow. You'll be surprised how fast they get gobbled up!!
Thanks!!

Microwavable? (Reply to this comment)
by jennyann2
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has ever tried microwaving these sausage balls? I am thinking of bringing these for Easter Sunday but I know the house will be full and all the oven space taken. :(
btw...I got this recipe from my grandma and her's calls for a tiny bit of milk which might make it easier to mix up. Just a thought.
Thanks for your help!

Hi,
I am wondering if anyone has tried microwaving the sausage balls to reheat them? I am think about taking them for Easter Sunday and I know there will be limited oven space. I'd cook them Saturday night.
btw...I got this recipe from my grandma who adds a tiny bit of milk to make it easier to mix the ingredients together.
Thanks so much for your help,

Re: These Sound Scrumptious (Reply to this comment)

Oh, girl, I learned the ol Dawn trick a while back. I don't have a dishwasher....other than my hands....arrr, arrr, arrr....so I almost always fill up my sink with hot sudsy water before I cook anything. The pots and pans go into it as soon as I'm finished with them. Lordy, that saves so much time later.
You're such a Hon...thank you so much!!

and I can hardly wait to try them. I love the idea of having a big pan of Dawn hot dishwater on hand for your hands as you go along - also the removal of rings - your reviews are always so darn much FUN, besides being helpful.

Well, girl, I've thought of trying to use my mixer. I've got a really nice KitchenAid stand mixer and it has the dough hook attachments. I just have this fear of burning out the motor, so I've never gotten my courage up to try using it for these. One of these days I might.
Thanks, Lorace!!

I've never tried doing them that way, but I suppose it would be tough to get them to stick. Some brands of sausage are a little less dense and they seem to work best. Thanks, Cindy!!

I just came from dinner and I'm stuffed and ohhhh, these sound so good anyway!
Last time we made meatloaf, hubby used the mixer with those claw hooks (bread hooks) and it worked great! Do you think that would do for these? I'll let you know.
Thanks loads, uh, push my chair back and say ahhhh! (was that a burp? s'cuse me!)

I cook the sausage before I roll these together. I guess that is why mine look funny. They still taste good that way but do not hold together very good (-:

When I saw "sausage balls" in one of those titles, I thought "Hey, cool, somebody else knows about those?" I should've known it was you!
I'm very glad you gave me this recipe.. I was going to ask you for it one day and I just forgot all about it. This is so gonna rock!
Job security, heh, that's a good one :)
Love you ~~~
