Neat! Khendra/shades has been talking you and matza Recchia up, but she should've just told me you were Jesus Christ Superstar-loving prog-rockers who recorded stupid songs together now and then; i'd've discovered you long since. I don't see why Emily can't count as a luxury, and i hope she didn't make you explain to her why she wasn't luxurious enough; otherwise, a lovely piece.
cheers,

Circus ballad~~~ (Reply to this comment)

This was fun to read! Thanks for mentioning Landscape...I would have chosen Circus Ballad instead! I love that song! I liked your explanation of The Musical Box...no wonder Genesis didn't have a large female audience back then!

Have you heard the song Landscape? If you did, you wouldn't say "Blech"! It made it all the way to number 4 on the dance charts in the town of MEANDYOUANDADOGNAMEDBOO!

Interesting-- (Reply to this comment)

Looks like Beethoven's 7th has made it onto at least four desert islands in this W/O (including my own). Oh yes, it is good. More than good. I oscillate over the years between the 3rd, 7th and 9th. These days I happen to be in the 3rd zone, but the others are never far behind.
As for the rest of your list.... BLECH (sorry, I thought for once in all these W/O lists, I'd allow myself the pleasure of being honest, and I only do it here because I like you).

All right, I'll die... (Reply to this comment)

"Gethsemane" is one truly kick-@ss rockin' death song. A while back, the Indigo Girls and some of the friends did a complete re-recording of the 'Jesus Christ Superstar' score with the Indigo Girls playing Jesus and Mary Magdalene. The version of "Gethsemane" there is totally awesome.

Heya (Reply to this comment)

I don't think there is anything wrong with picking the same piece... it is a magnificent piece, and maybe with the combined forces of Guildenstern and Fartzarellah, people will heed our words and go forth and listen to it! And our evil plan will be hatched MWAAAAHAHAAAAA
I don't know why, I'm saying things like that a lot lately. Must have something on my mind. Such as WORLD DOMINATION *sigh*
Anyway, thanks for coming out of semi-retirement for the write-off, it's been great fun
Take care
Simon
