The Bottom Line This is the final ending for Seven Days. We're now working on the sequel at Ringworld's Ring Forum, Cult of Sadako, so come on and join if you want to!

Zebu Black stood still on the cave ground. He had minutes left before his deadline, and he was the only strand keeping the sorcerer online. His ex-companions, Schleppy, Mai, Lani, and Chris kept him from freeing Masami and Kaoru, which would clear the way for the sorcerer. Sadako and Samara smirked. He had only a few minutes left- this time;,they wanted to play by the rules.

“It’s about time, sister,” said Sadako with a smirk. “I’ll see you all in just a minute.” She disappeared from the cave, only to reappear in the pool below En’s statuette. Zebu choked- the Virus was attacking his throat. All it would need was a nudge from Sadako to send him over the edge.

A hole was blown through the roof. “What the h*ll?” said Samara angrily.

“He’s figured out a way out of this,” said Zebu, choking. “He’s made a hole for the attacks. Soon you and your sister will be no…”

His words were cut short, as a blast hit Schleppy. “What the h*ll?” said Zebu, as Samara laughed.

“Your sorcerer isn’t as smart as you thought. Your friends are on our side now, and that makes them a threat to your own survival.”

“You b*tch!” screamed Zebu, as Samara giggled. Lani and Chris were struck down by twin bolts.

Sadako clambered out of the pool, glancing at the scene for a moment to laugh. Zebu tried to get to Masami and Kaoru, hoping that maybe, just maybe, he could get them out of the way. However, Mai was stronger than he thought.

Mai let out a hollow laugh, and then was struck down by another bolt. Samara swore as Zebu made a run for it.

“Maybe I can do this,” thought Zebu. “For them…” once again, he was stopped in mid-sentence, as he fell to the ground. Sadako had tripped him.

As he fell, he twisted around, and saw Sadako’s evil glare at him.

Zebu’s eyes closed for a moment, then he got up and stood alongside Sadako, Samara, and En. They looked at the Sorcerer as he faded away.

“No!” screamed Masami.

“Don’t worry, Masami,” said Samara with a grin. “You won’t have to be afraid of televisions any more.” She turned her face toward her, and Masami screamed.

At the same time, Sadako had just taken care of Kaoru. En’s binds on them loosened, and they went to stand with Zombie Zebu

Samara smiled at Sadako, then at their father. “Why don’t we go back home. This place smells too much of horses.” They then disappeared to Ringworld. The bodies of Schleppy, Mai, Lani, Chris, Ryuji, and Suzuki washed away into the ocean, like so many unwanted children of olden times.

---

Schleppy blinked. “Where are we?”

They were standing in a giant hallway, going on for eternity and then some. There were thousands of doors, each of which was now being opened. One came up to the gang. He was dressed in 13th-Century garbs, and bowed to Suzuki, the eldest. Suzuki bowed back. The ancient one turned back to the others.

“You are in the Hall of Odzunu. It was originally the home for those scarred by the Ascetic En and his demons during his life. From here, there is no return. You six came here because it seemed most fitting for your position.”

“So,” said Mai, “We’ll never be able to stop them?”

“No,” he said, motioning to a fountain. The six looked into it. “It will continue forever.”

In the fountain, they saw the tape and report spreading through the world. They saw thousands of Sadakos and Samaras crawling out of televisions, as well as a new face.

“Miya!” said Lani.

“Not Miya anymore,” said Ryuji. “Only another extension of the Ascetic.”

Then, the three of them stopped. No more tape circulation. And hundreds of millions of Sadakos, Samaras, and Miyas. Then they disappeared, too. Soon, there was nobody left on Earth.

“But…” said Chris, “Why did they do this? Didn’t they see that it would destroy them, too?”

“The combined rage of En, Samara, and Sadako had no bounds. They will not stop until all those who spurned them are dead.”

“But what are we to do then?” asked Suzuki.

“Nothing.”

And so they stood there, staring at the image of Earth without Man before them, hoping that something would happen. They stood there until even time was no more.
