Black or white, good or evil?

Written: Aug 03 '01
Pros:Great graphics and killer Artificial Intelligence
Cons:You need a somewhat decent graphics card and processor to run the game.
The Bottom Line: I recommend the game if you want to see some amazing graphics and have some fun growing a creature using Artificial Intelligence. Amazing concept!!!!

This is a really cool game concept: You are a god. Who wouldn't like to be a god??? Anyway, you're a god who's pretty new at the deity business, and you are born out of the belief of a small clan of people who you wish to have worship you more and more. The more they worship you, the more power you get to fight the other gods with (Some AI gods, some human gods if you play on the internet). As you gain more belief you move on over the landscape and either start new towns by building buildings, or take over towns that are neutral or belong to other gods. The more towns you have, the more spells you get and also the more energy you get to cast your spells. There's another cool little distraction: Each god has a creature, either an ape, a cow, or a tiger, each with it's own personality. You can pet your creature when it does good, or beat it when it does bad AND IT LEARNS!!!! It also learns to cast spells that you cast near him. Absolutely amazing. If you beat your animal too much though, it becomes evil, hence the title Black and White. You get to choose how you want to reign over your people.
Some of the game play is annoying, like some of the quests. Also, some of it is hard to figure out, definitely not a game for the intelligence disabled. Nevertheless, a fun game to mess around with for a while.
