The Providence Journal news paper can be purchased here in Rhode Island or close by in Mass. It is created here in Rhode Island. The Providence Journal news paper is the only one in Rhode Island that I actually read. Of course there are others here. We do have The Boston Globe, USA Today, The Herald, Pawtucket Times and more. But out of all of them The Providence Journal news paper has the absolute most to offer it's readers.
On The Providence Journal news paper you always get a great header. Some thing that catches your eye. Some thing worldly more often than not. You get a guide to each section of where things can be found on the bottom left corner of the news paper. And off to the right side are miniature pieces of the articles that would be most interesting found in side of the paper. It really gets you in to wanting to read most if not the whole paper. I often read the whole thing other than the sports pages. Not too interested in those, but many people are.
My main thing is the Classified they offer. You can purchase a home, find an apartment, adopt a pet, buy used or new merchandise from some one, view the Yankee Trader section, and they give you a slip to cut out to place your own ad if you need to. I often read the pet column. They have all varieties of pets that are available for adoption and some that I have adopted right from the paper have been wonderful.
I have found jobs in the past reading the The Providence Journal news paper classifieds. They have a full alphabetized job sections where you can view pretty much every job that is available, what experience is needed, weather or not they are willing to train you and more. This has been a major help to us since we have hit rough times a few times and needed extra income. It is always nice to have the option to search there when we need to.
I have found an apartment by searching this news paper as well. The often give great details on apartments. How many bed rooms and bathrooms, the cost per week or per month, the approximate size of the place, weather the neighborhood is kid friendly or not, if pets are accepted and so much more making it easy to find what you are looking for to begin with.
The Providence Journal news paper contains informations on news that is going on all over the world. They go in to great details and truly catch your attention with their great headlines. I like keeping up on world news, what is going on other places out there so this is one of the best parts for me to read. I read this section daily. Some news is grim and other news is good news. It is pretty much like watching the news on TV only you get to read and understand it better, and if you miss some thing you can read it over again!
The local news section is great! You can read about strikes that are going on, lottery winners, schools and more. They tell you about crime that is going on in certain areas, accidents. You can read about recent deaths that have pictures. Memorial photos and so much more. They give you a list of recent arrests made in Rhode Island, who, what, where when and why. Every detail that they are allowed to submit is there for the public to see.
In The Providence Journal news paper you can also check out a section about stocks and legal issues. Divorce proceedings, engaged couples announcements, marriage announcements. It is amazing the resources that are available in a single news paper.
You can check the weather for the entire week. Learn the sun set and rise and moon rise times for each day. Get the high tide and low tide times. And so much more. There is just so much information it is hard to list it all.
In the Sunday edition of The Providence Journal news paper you get coupon booklets with hundreds of dollars worth of savings you could get. You get an entire comics section that is a few pages long with popular characters like Garfield, and Charlie Brown as well as others. You get fliers for all the major stores here in Rhode Island that are advertising good sales you might just want to hear about.
The average Providence Journal news paper costs $0.50 at a store or in a news paper box placed around different places. Or you can have it delivered for a dollar more a week than it would cost to buy it regularly. The Sunday newspaper goes for $2.00 since it offers so much more than average.
One of my favorite sections of The Providence Journal news paper is the Lifebeat section. This sections give you all of the information you could need on entertainment. What is going on in the entertainment world. What kind of entertainment is going on in Rhode Island. Such as shows, concerts, plays and more. You can do cross words in this section, read a few short cartoon strips. There is a writes advice column in this section and more. There is also a jumble word game. This is my favorite part of the whole paper. You unscramble words then take the circled letters that are left and unscramble those to create and answer to the question given before hand. The answer won't be seen in that days paper. But it will be seen in the next issue of The Providence Journal news paper.
Each day The Providence Journal news paper is different. You will rarely ever see an article posted twice, unless it is in reference to an old article or an update. That keeps things newer and more exiting. I enjoy reading The Providence Journal news paper each morning. I don't get bored with it, and it is part of my relaxing time. I do highly recommend The Providence Journal news paper.
