Whether it be for birthday party favors, holiday decorations, presents, communion favors, crafts and almost anything else you can decorate your home with or give out at parties - Oriental Trading is the place to do it. I have been shopping at Oriental Trading for about 2 years now and have purchased items for my own personal use and also for my cub scout group.
I used to shop directly at their online store www.orientaltrading.com after I leisurely go through their catalogs and decide what I need to buy. However to get even better deals, I now start my ordering through my www.fatwallet.com account which you can read about here:

Oriental Trading Company (OTC) usually sends you a new catalog every few weeks as they are constantly putting new items in the catalog. Most of the catalogs come with a "Free Shipping if Ordered By" Offer or an "Order Early and Save 20%" offer. So you can usually save on shipping fees if you order in time. If you need the items ASAP you can always pay extra and have items shipped within 2-3 business days. Their web site is easy to navigate and the only thing I don't like about their site is that I can't save items to a cart and come back later on to continue ordering.
OTC puts out seasonal catalogs which have some excellent holiday decorations and crafts - you are buying in bulk so you pay a lower price than buying the items individually in the stores.
I have 9 boys in my Cub Scout Den - and buying the materials necessary to make a crashing witch craft, plus cutting the pieces into the right shape would have used our monthly budget on just half the group. One Crashing Witch Craft kit which includes enough materials to make 12 witches costs only $9.95 - the pieces are precut and all you have to do is provide the glue - it was easy to make and the kids had fun doing it.
I have also purchased "Testamints", "Bible Verse Fortune Cookies", and "Bible Quiz Lollipops" for goodies on the tables at my sons Communion - they went over great - The Fortune Cookies were $4.95 for 50 and were fresh - I ordered them about 4 weeks prior to my sons Communion. The Testamints were $4.95 for 145 pieces - they were very minty and the lollipops were a big hit with the kids.
I have purchased xmas items from them and party favors as well as travel games for vacations. Most of the items are sold by the dozen as well as in units, some with 50 pieces to a unit - our block just purchased glow in the dark necklaces for $54.95 for a box of 50 necklaces.
Oriental Trading Company is an excellent source for ideas for parties/crafts and anyone, Cub Scout Leaders, Girl Scout Leaders, DJ's, Teachers, parents - they will all find something at a bargain here. Once you shop OTC you realize where some of the arcade places may get the prizes they offer the kids after they've spent $20 cash to win 20 coupons and get a couple of mini erasers as a prize.
For the past couple of years I have been purchasing Glow in the Dark Cups through Oriental Trading - they have been a big hit at the Block Parties we have had. You can buy them individually or a box of one dozen which will run you about $24.99. Last year, after ordering 2 boxes of a dozen, their packer thought the order was for 2 cups so that's what they sent. I called their customer service and they sent overnight the 2 boxes of a dozen, plus they sent me a Halloween windsock as an apology and told me to keep the 2 extra cups.
At OTC you can buy anything from rubber chickens, rubber doggie poop (my son wanted it for xmas) to stuffed animals - so a search at their website and you may find what you are looking for and more.
