This is a website that I was very happy to find. It came to my mailbox with a coupon, so since I was looking for a book I needed for school I decided that I would try to look for it on there thinking to myself that it probably would not be there also thinking that they did not have a good selection of items. Boy was I ever wrong. I love this site, there are many many items to choose from including books, music, video games, movies, to the recently updated computers, electronics, sporting goods and trading cards. I have sold many items on there mostly school books, because students want them cheap and the sellers do not want to get 2 dollars for something that they know is worth more elsewhere. When selling a textbook I go to the midpoint, where I am getting more than I would from the bookstore to where the buyer is paying me less than they would the bookstore. I know how much school books are and if I can save someone some money then I am going to do so. I just wish I knew about this sooner, so that I could have saved money.
When you are on the site the teller says the condition of the products they are selling, everything i have purchased was in the condition as stated. You pay by credit card to half.com at the time you request it. They then send an email to the seller and tell them that their item has been sold and they have 4 days to confirm the order, and business day to send it out. Your mail options include media mail or priority mail which is more expensive. You pay a set amount for shipping but the item may go over that which is the sellers responsibility to pay for. When the seller confirms the sale half.com notifies you by email that your order has been confirmed.
One thing that I wish there was is a way to communicate between buyer and seller, I think that is a good way to fond out the exact condition of items, some may be highlighted which you aren't supposed to sell but people do but many make record of it like myself. Many college students like a little highlighting but not overly highlighted items some people just get carried away.
Also there are some things you may think would be on there that are not, some popular books or something. You can search by ISBN but may not find it, sometimes it is found under another ISBN, try searching by author or title.
Overall I think this is a good site and epinioners who like movies, music and reading and games for cheap should go there because they can get many new epinions from things that they have purchased there, they have to wait a few days for their items to arrive but it is usually the more cheaper rate to go.
