CD universe.com is one of my favorite online retailers to purchase video games at. It works with Google Checkout so you can save a lot of money by buying online with CD universe.com versus purchasing video games in a retail store when Google Checkout has promotions offering money off of orders.
The thing I like about CD Universe is that they have a large selection of video games that I cannot find in my local retail stores. They also have a good selection of quality video game accessories that I cannot find at my local retail stores. My local retail stores have an extremely poor selection of video games and they get cleaned out very fast when they do restock so purchasing games online for me is an absolute must. This really helps when looking for that obscure title that does not release to most retail stores! I live in NY state and I have not been charged sales tax on any order I have placed with CD universe, which again helps me save money.
Prices for video games are usually lower than retail by at least a couple of dollars. Shipping is low and is usually 2.99 per item. If you order more than one item on the same order its an additional dollar per item for shipping.
CD Universe is based out of Connecticut and since I live in NY state I get my orders very fast, usually within 3 days of the order shipping. I have never had a problem with a product being damaged in the mail or a package being lost in the mail when ordering with CD Universe. I have never had a problem with order accuracy or any other customer service issue so I have not had to contact customer service for any reason.
The only drawback I can see to using CD Universe is they put Game Boy Advance games in bubble envelopes. As you might already know Game Boy Advance games come in cardboard boxes, and shipping one in a bubble envelope can result in a crushed box. Some people have a problem with receiving a crushed box due to wanting to keep a collection of these games or for gift-giving reasons. I have ordered several Game Boy Advance games from them though and I have not experienced a crushed box yet even though they ship them in a bubble envelope. Most other types of games such as Nintendo DS games and Playstation 2 games are well protected in their game cases so this is not an issue when ordering them.
