The "write about someone else" Writeoff! I've been epinionating about five months now and I've seen several write-offs in which we get to talk about ourselves. These have been fun, some have been incredibly successful. But we still end up just talking about ourselves. Some people do enjoy talking about themselves (boy, some people love it!) but isn't it more fun getting to know someone else? The wonderful and inimitable shadesofblue summed it up nicely just recently when she titled her piece for the latest "about me" writeoff, "Hey Sweeties aren't y'all sick of personal writeoffs?" So I thought, why not talk about someone else? And this got me thinking, who would I like to know more about? And more specifically, inevitably,who would I like to invite for a drink? So here ya go! This is your chance. Send a note to someone you want to know more about...or someone you think is great and want the rest of us to know more about. Imagine you are inviting them to a bar for a drink, and send them the questions you would ask over a drink or seven. And post their replies. Anything goes, almost. It can be a friendly beer after work; It can be a wild night out; It can be a hot date. You can ask whatever questions you want. There are only three questions you must ask: - Tell us about the bar you are in. - What is he/she/it drinking? - Do you flirt? All the other questions you can ask whatever you want! So here goes!
