There are potentates and flunkies
There are donkeys, yes, jackasses by the score
There are some that I desire
There are some that I inspire
There are some that I admire, there are some that I abhor
Each day I move among them, just to satisfy my lust
My burning need for Helpfulness and Trust
There are those who write with wisdom
And with humor and with style
And those who think good writing
Must be measured by the mile
There are lurkers, there are shirkers
And there are tireless workers
The rest of us are somewhere in between
There are those who polish turds
And there are those whose words
Are just among the finest work that I have ever seen
Perhaps my quest is fruitless; I pursue it, for I must
