Some foreign airlines may not accept your child's car seat for use on their flights. Be prepared to entertain your child.

great review! :)

We will be PCSing to Iwakuni, Japan from San Diego, CA (if all goes as planned) and when we do our children will be 3.5, 2.5, and 1.5 That should be an interesting flight :)

Actually, that's NOT a bad idea to rent even though it's not what you want to do. I was born and raised in Phoenix, but had lived in other city's for 15 + years before moving back home. Phoenix was SO big I didn't know it anymore. It took us years to figure out where we really wanted to be, and we're on our 3rd move in 6 years because of it.

Happy travels. It's beautiful here ~ 96 with Fall in the air.

New FAA rules (Reply to this comment)

By the way I should thank you once again for another great review. I have decided to add you to my web of trust. I just read an article recently where the FAA is considering making it mandatory for small children to have to fly in child safety seats and they want to airlines to provide them if parents don't have them. I read that on Yahoo news. Plus, I don't know if people realize this but a lot of airports now have play areas for kids. Anyways, I do really appreciate your very informative reviews.

May God bless you and everyone through Jesus Christ with lots of love,

Jeff

We are definitely going to Phoenix. We spent a week there and we absolutely LOVED it! My in-laws just moved there so that gives us an added incentive.

Don't know exactly where we are going to live yet. We were going to buy a house but the home loan people found out I was leaving my job and they weren't too happy about that part... so we'll probably end up renting for six months and then getting our house.

Brought back memories! (Reply to this comment)

I have taken Lauren on 4 round trip flights in the past 13 months. I always brought along Benydryl, tested at home first to make sure it didn't make her more hyper! We never got the nifty packets with crayons and coloring books :(. We did bring some toys though. Our biggest problem were connecting flights, Lauren decided the first part was enough and didn't want to get on another plane!

Nicely written review!

I haven't flown with William yet... (Reply to this comment)

but I'm considering flying to Hartford, Conn. from Phoenix to see my sister. This is super advice on flying with an infant. Thank you.

"The British Airways personnel insisted that this seat belt extender was safer than having her fly in a CAA unapproved (but FAA approved) car seat..."

How ridiculous! I'm sorry you had to go through that! I'm going to ask my flight attendant friend about that.

As I recall you mentioned you might be moving to Arizona. Have you made up your mind? It's starting to cool off... 108 today.

Take care,

Mary
