You are right about the ink. It is not like other printers that have a special photo ink, but the ink is specific to the Epson Photo Stylus printers. I guess I didn't clarify this very well in the article.

I have a question, I have been using Epson printers for years and I also sell them at work. I have never heard of photo ink for an Epson printer, they use the same ink cartridges for photo printing. The other printers use special photo cartridges. The main reason I only rated it helpful is because it lacked details, if I was choosing a printer, I would need more details to decide to purchase this printer.
